College of Veterinary Medicine Collaborative Spaces

Reifsteck Reid & Company Architects (RRCo) was retained by the University of Illinois to remodel the library and two classrooms in the Vet Med – Basic Sciences Building. RRCo completed design work to build a 75 seat innovative classroom with upgraded finishes – flooring and ceiling, lighting, painting, furniture, and audio-visual systems. The design also incorporates quiet learning spaces for students to study in groups or collaborate in the remaining space of the library.

Giordano's at Market Place

A restaurant famous for its deep-dish pizza, is now serving up slices in Champaign. Giordano's contracted Reifsteck Reid to complete a remodel of a vacant restaurant space in the Market Place shopping center. Reifsteck Reid reinvisioned the layout of the store by removing walls and adding light to the space. RR was also responsible for coordinating finishes with the corporate office to match stores across the country. Reifsteck Reid worked with a local metal shop to create the metal framed windows throughout the space. 

UI Vet Med Lecture Hall

Due to the recent influx of veterinary students the College of Veterinary Medicine needed reconfiguring of their existing lecture rooms in the Basic Sciences Building to fit more students. Updates included new swing-arm seating with electric and hardwired internet access. The flooring was updated, walls were painted, and acoustical panels were added to increase audio/visual performance.
